CHAP. 421.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to John McArthur.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John McArthur, late colonel Twelfth Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, and brigadier-general, United States Volunteers, and pay him a pension at the rate of fifty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Joseph Westbrook, late of Company I, Forty-first Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Binford, late of Company C, Second Regiment Iowa Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, February 4, 1903.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Robert Stewart, late of Company C, Forty-fourth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.. States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the

laws, the name of John P. Peterman, late of Company K, Fifth Regi-
ment Indiana Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of
thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 426.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Alice A. Fitch.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Alice A. Fitch, widow of Ezra Fitch, late major, First Regiment Arkansas Volunteer Cavalry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Henry Thomas, late of Company G, One hundred and thirtieth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Fay, late acting third assistant engineer, United States Navy, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 431.—An Act Granting a pension to the minor children of Daniel J. Reedy. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Daniel J. and Annie States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the names of Daniel J. Reedy and Annie T. Reedy, minor children of Daniel J. Reedy, late chief machinist, United States Navy, and pay them jointly a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month, and two dollars per month additional on account of each of said children Helpless daughter's until they reach the age of sixteen years, from which date the pension of Annie T. Reedy, helpless and dependent child of said Daniel J. Reedy, shall continue at the rate of twelve dollars per month during the period of her helplessness.

Feltus, late first lieutenant and adjutant Thirteenth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Brown, helpless and dependent daughter of James S. Brown, late of Company F, Thirteenth Regiment Maryland Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.
