into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

39 Therefore they sought again to take him but he escaped out of their hand,

40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.

42 And many believed on him there.

CHAPTER XI

1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

kahte ho, ki Tú Khudá ke haqq men burá kahta hai; kyúnki main ne kahá, ki Main Khudá ká Farzand hún?

37 Agar main apne Báp ke kám nahí kartá, to mujh par ímán mat láo.

38 Lekin agar main kartá húg, to agarchi tum mujh par ímán na láo, tadbhí un kémon par ímán láo: táki jáno aur ímáu láo, ki Báp mujh men, aur main us men hún.

41 Tab bahut log us pás áe, aur bole, ki Yahiyá ne koí karámat nahin dekháí: par sab báten, jo Yahiya ne us ke haqq men kahin, sach hain.

42 Aur wahán bahutse us par ímán láe.

GYARAHWAN BAB.

1 Ab Mariyam aur us kí bahin Marsá ke gánw Baitainá ká Lázar nám ek ádmí bímár thá.

2 (Wahí Mariyam, jis ne Ķhudawand ko atr malá, aur apne bálon se us ke paon ko ponchhá thá, usí ká bhái Lázar bímár thá). 3 Isliye us ki bahinon ne us ko kahlá bhejá, kahlá bhejá, ki Dekhiye, ai Khudáwand, jise áp piyar karte hain, so bímár hai.

4 When Jesus heard that, he

said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

7 Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judea again.

8 His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

4 sá ne sunke kahá, ki Yih maut kí bímárí nahín, lekin Khudá kí buzurgí ke liye hai, táki us ke sabab se Khudá ke Farzand ki buzurgí howe.

5 Ab Isá Marsá ko, aur us kí bahin, aur Lázar ko piyár kartá thá.

Agar ádmí din ko chale, to wuh thokar nahin khátá, kyúnki wuh is dunyá ká unjiyálá dekhtá hai.

10 Par agar koí rát ko chale, to thokar khátá hai, kyúnki us men unjiyálá nahín.

15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already. 18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, brother had not died. my 22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

15 Aur tumháre liye, apne wahan na hone se main khush hún, kyúnki ab tum ímán láoge; áo, us ke pás jáen.

16 Tab Somá ne, jisko Dúdmas kahte hain, apne sáthí shágirdon se kahá, ki Ao, ham bhí jáen, táki us ke sath maren.

17 Tab sá ne daryáft kiyá, ki use qabr men gare húe chár

din húe.

18 18 Aur Baitainá Aurshalím se atkal men paune tín kos par thá:

19 Aur bahutse Yahúdí Marsá aur Mariyam kane áe the, ki un ke bháí ke liye unhen tasalli

den.

28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.

32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,

34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

27 Us ne use kahá, ki Hán, ai Khudáwand: main sach mántí hún, ki Khudá ká Farzand Masih, jo dunya men ánewálá thí, so áp hain.

28 Wuh yih kahke chalí gaí, aur chupke se apní bahin Mariyam ko buláke kahá, ki Ustád áyá hai, aur tujhe bulátá hai.

29 Jyonhíp us ne suná, tyonhín uthí, aur us pás aí.

30 Aur sá abtak bastí men na pahunchá thá, balki usí jagah thá, jahán Marsá use milí thí.

31 Tab un Yahúdíon ne jo use ghar men tasallí dete the, Mariyam ko jaldi se uthke báhir játe dekhá, yih kahte húe us ke píchhe píchhe gae, ki Wuh qabr par rone ko játí hai.

32 Aur jab Mariyam us jagah pahunchí, jahán sá thá, aur use dekhá, to us ke qadamon par girke kahá, ki Ai Ķhudáwand, agar áp yahan bote, to merá bháí na

37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the

37 Par un men se bázon ne kahá, ki Yih shakhs, jis ne andhe kí ánkhen kholín, kyá is ádmí kí maut ko na rok saktá hai?

41 Tab unhon ne us patthar ko kináre kiya. Aur Isá ne ánkhen

dead was laid. And Jesus lift-úpar karke kahá, ki Ai Báp,

ed up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard

me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had

44 Tab wuh, jo margayá thá, háth pánw bandhe húe báhar nikal áyá: aur us ká chihra rúmál se lapțá húá.

45 Tab bahutse Yahúdi, jo Mariyam kane áe the, sá ke
