The following Book is partly compiled from a small work, entitled “ The Catechism of Nature," and translated from the Dutch.Its object is to give the Young, for whom it is chiefly designed, an early acquaintance with the Wisdom and Goodness of the Almighty, as displayed in the works of Creation-and, to promote this laudable design, it has been enlarged to its present size, in the form of Dialogues between a Father and Son. Son. How may I acquire a knowledge of my Creator?
Father. From his works, and from his word.
Son. Has not God revealed himself to us in the Bible ?
Father. Without doubt. But when you can see, as it were, with your own eyes, his adorable perfections, it is certainly your duty to view his works, as well as to read his word.
