MY DEAR FRIENDS, THE following Sermons, as you are aware, were delivered in the ordinary course of my Parochial ministrations, and are now printed at the repeated request of many amongst yourselves. It has ever been my sincere desire to set before you "the Truth as it is in Jesus,"-to preach to you "Christ Jesus, and Him Crucified." And in now presenting these Sermons to you in this more permanent form, I venture to hope, that Discourses, which have been listened to with so much attention, may be read with equal kindness; and it is my earnest Prayer that, through the Blessing of God, you may find them "profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness; and thus may our communion together on earth be so blessed, as to be the mean of making us "meet to become partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light."
