NOT TO CHAFE THE STUMP.

Made from Measurements and Cast without Coming to Factory. SOMERSET, Ky., January 3, 1904. Winkley Artificial Limb Co.:

Gentlemen:-It was only about five months after my leg was amputated that I received your Double Slip Socket Leg and went back on my engine and worked my 30 to 50 hours at a time firing through a mountainous region. For the past two years I have been running an engine, and I can get off and on a train running fifteen miles an hour just about as easily as I ever could. The Slip Socket is surely a great comfort. You remember that after wearing one of your limbs for several years, I found it so satisfactory that I ordered a second one from you. L. B. GUFFEY,

Made from Measurements and Cast without Coming to Factory. DURAND, MICH., Jan. 3, 1904. Winkley Artificial Limb Co.

Gentlemen:-My leg is amputated six inches below the knee and I have been wearing one of your Double Slip Socket legs for over eight years and it has given entire satisfaction. I am able to hold my position as engineer and run on a local freight from Durand to Port Huron. I never have been troubled with a chafed stump yet.
