Now 'tis day, be up and doing,

Loiter not in folly's ways;

"One thing needful," still be wooing, Soon shall prayer be chang'd to praise.

While such gifts are in thy keeping,

Why art thou at play or sleeping,
Time and talent thus destroy?

Keep thee close to him that's calling,
