representation. The Government may submit to an

alteration of this part of the Bill: but danger of this:

therefore still fears bad effect from the Archbishop's

knowledge of the King's opinion. Anxiety as to future

divisions on the Bill in the House of Lords. Mr.

O'Connell. Necessity for an arrangement respecting

Tithes in Ireland. Provision for the Catholic priest-

hood indispensable; but opposition that would be

provoked by proposing it.

of passing the Bill through the House of Lords. Wishes

to have an opportunity of personally bringing this sub-

ject before His Majesty. The King's communication
