a "sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet "Jonas: for as Jonas was three days and "three nights in the whale's belly: so shall "the Son of man be three days and three nights " in the heart of the earth. The men of Nine"veh shall rise in judgment with this genera“tion, and shall condemn it: because they re" pented at the preaching of Jonas; and, be"hold, a greater than Jonas is here. The queen " of the south shall rise up in the judgment " with this generation, and shall condemn it: " for she came from the uttermost parts of the "earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, " behold, a greater than Solomon is here. No 66 man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth "it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, " but on a candlestick, that they which come " in may see the light. The light of the body " is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, 66 66 66 thy whole body also is full of light; but when " thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of dark" ness. Take heed therefore that the light "which is in thee be not darkness. If thy "whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light. And when they bring you " unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, " and powers, take ye no thought how or what 66 thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: " for the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the " same hour what ye ought to say."
