NOR this cause, I Paul, the pri-

Gentiles,

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote afore in few words;

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ,

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 66 That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the Gospel:

Jesus our Lord:

b 12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, b 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man ; d 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, c 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; t 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

THEREFORE, the prisoner

of the Lord, beseech you that the least of all saints, is this grace ye walk worthy of the vocation given, that I should preach among wherewith ye are called,

and in you all.

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

t 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto

men.

9 Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

19 Who, being past feeling, have given themselves over unto lasci viousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20 But ye have not so learned Christ;

21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the ol man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

d 22 Wives, submit yourselves
unto your own husbands, as unto
the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body.

c 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. w 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God 24 Therefore as the church is upon the children of disobedience. subject unto Christ, so let the 7 Be not ye therefore partakers wives be to their own husbands in with them. every thing.

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

13 But all things that are reproved, are made manifest by the light for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

d 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

d 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly,not as fools,but as wise,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

d 28 So ought men to love their wives, as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the

church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
