'BRETHREN, putting an auth ing, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice and be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one an-space of three hours after, when his other, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

ye love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth Me no more; but ye see Me because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you. He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.

ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto Him, Lord, we know not whither Thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him. Philip saith unto Him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto Him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast Thou not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 3 UDAS saith unto Jesus, not Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works. | Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name,

Iscariot, Lord, how is it that Thou wilt manifest Thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, Ifa man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love Him, and we will come unto Him, and make our abode with Him. He that loveth Me not keepeth not My sayings: and the word which ye hear is not Mine, but the Father's which sent Me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without Me ye can do nothing. John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through Him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

. O Lord, wash us thoroughly from our wickedness. Ry. And cleanse us from our sin.

. O Lord, hear our prayer.

Ry. And let our cry come unto Thee.

Then all kneeling, say the Confession and Litany following:

ALMIGHTY Lord of heaven and earth, we confess that

we have sinned exceedingly in thought, word, and deed, through our fault, through our great and grievous fault; and we present ourselves before Thy eyes, humbly beseeching Thee not to consider the multitude of our offences, but to remember Thy infinite mercy. Give us, O Lord a true contrition for all the sins we have committed against Thee, that being turned from all our evil ways, we may, by a sincere repentance, obtain Thy peace; for the sake of the merits of Thy blessed Son's most sacred passion, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God the Father of heaven, God the Son Redeemer of the world, God the Holy Ghost,

Have mercy on us.

O Holy Trinity, Three Persons and one God,

Have mercy on us.

From all evil, from all sin, from Thy wrath, from a sudden and unprovided death, from all Thy heavy judgments in this present world, and from everlasting death in the world to come, O Lord, deliver us.

From the deceits of the devil, from the spirit of sloth and of self-love, from revenge, hatred, and impatience, from envy, calumny, and all uncharitableness,

O Lord, deliver us.

From the spirit of pride, vanity, and ambition, from all intemperance, prodigality, and covetousness, from fornication and all impurity,

O Lord, deliver us.

From the spirit of dissembling, flattering, and lying, from incredulity, profaneness, and all hardness of heart,

O Lord, deliver us.

From the spirit of immoderate anxiety and worldly care, from lukewarmness and indevotion, from levity and inconstancy,

O Lord, deliver us.

We sinners do beseech Thee to hear us, and that Thou wouldst vouchsafe to govern and preserve Thy holy Church,

with our own bishop, and all ecclesiastical orders in holy religion;

That Thou wouldst vouchsafe to give peace and concord to Christian kings and princes; especially to our queen and royal family; and to grant peace and unity to all Christian people;

We beseech Thee to hear us, O Lord.

That Thou wouldst vouchsafe to confirm and preserve us in Thy holy service, and to raise our minds to heavenly desires;

And that Thou mayest give us the spirit of universal charity, by which we may love Thee above all things, and our neighbour as ourselves;

We beseech Thee to hear us, O Lord.

O Lord, graciously hear these our prayers.

O Christ, graciously hear us, and have mercy upon us.
