Gentlemen:-I enclose you draft for the first payment on Crowell Cabinet No. 1, which was received from you a few weeks ago. The time given has not yet expired but the cabinet has se far demonstrated all that was claimed for it that we are willing to waive the time a week or two.

Nothing has ever entered the class room of our high school in the shape of apparatus that has gained for itself the admiration and interest of the students that this cabinet has. It has been in use just a short time and yet there are many scholars who aver that they have gained a more lasting insight into physics problems through its use than they ever had in all their study before.

Trusting that the benefits to the scholars will be as permanent as the present predicts, I am, Yours respectfully,

ROSCOE E. ZERWEKH, Sec'y.

Write us for description and prices of the Crowell Cabinet in its different forms. Ask for our price list on Chemical Glassware. When in need of school supplies, write us.

"I have examined with some care HARPER'S ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF AMERICAN HISTORY, and find
it valuable to the student of history for the following reasons: 1. Because the matter is arranged
in alphabetical order. 2. Because subjects of little value are given little space, while subjects of
great value are given much space. 3. Because of its very excellent biographical sketches (see
John Quincy Adams). 4. Because of the careful selection of orations and other documents of his-
torical value (see Henry Ward Beecher).

"MESSRS. HARPER & BROS., New York City. Gentlemen:-This will certify that, about a year ago, we placed a set of Harper's Encyclopaedia of United States History in the High School, and also one in the Public Library. We have found this work of such value to the Study of American History that our Board yesterday placed with your agent, Mr. J. B. Evans, an order for twenty sets, one for each school building. "I feel that this is the best endorsement of the value of this work that we can make." W. H. WILEY, Superintendent Public Schools." "Yours truly, The ENCYCLOPAEDIA is a MONUMENTAL work. It is the only work of the kind in existence. It is obviously unique, and is indispensable in every library, public or private. Do not WASTE TIME and MONEY with incomplete works. The BEST is the CHEAPEST. Write at once for special terms to teachers and school libraries. Address HARPER & BROTHERS, Franklin Square, New York City
