THE SERIES OF

Historical Maps

(Galled the Illustrative Historical Chart)

A series of twenty-two maps is universally considered the best and cheapest Historical Maps published. They make history objective, attractive, interesting, correlate it with geography, and give clear and definite ideas. They cover a larger scope of history than any other maps.

Recommendations

MUNCIE, IND., July 6, 1902.

After a careful examination of the Series of Historical maps, I recommended them to the Muncie City School Board for use in the schools. I recommend them to others as the most complete maps in their line, published. It seems to me they are invaluable aids to the comprehension of the most important struggles of this country. Respectfully, W. R. SNYDER. Superintendent.

WILLIAMSPORT, IND., July 3, 1902.

I have examined the Series of Historical Maps and believe them to be a most excellent help in the instruction of history. I can strongly recommend them, and hope that all schools having seventh and eighth grade pupils will be supplied with them. W. J. BADER, County Superintendent.

PERU, IND., July 29, 1902. To whom it may concern: After a careful examination of the series of Historical Maps I am fully convinced that it is a work which deserves great merit. As an aid in teaching History its value cannot be overestimated. The pupil learns by seeing what heretofore he has been compelled to learn by commiting. I hope the Trustees of Miami County will be able to put at least some of the charts in their schools. Very respectfully,

E. H. ANDREWS, Sup't Miami Co. Schools.

These are quotations from parties using the maps

"My teachers feel they can no longer teach history without your maps."-MISS BUCHANAN, Prin. Woodlawn School, Kansas City, Mo.

"Enclosed find draft for your Historical Chart. I changed schools this year and find I can not get' along without your chart."-Prin. H. W. MCKEAN, Kansas City, Kan.

2. That such persons shall be qualified, at the end of the two terms named above, to receive from this State a second grade certificate, the requirements for which are substantially the same here as in Indiana. Particulars will be given on application.

It can locate many more than the number named but WILL GUARANTEE to give positions to the first twelve who accept this offer.

The Federal Government made to the educational system of North Dakota a land grant of 2,500,000 acres of land, some of it the richest that the sun shines upon. Wages are good and the conditions are most favorable from every point of view to those wishing to enter upon an educational career. This school offers an open door to splendid opportunities.
