crt the rebellion in Britain, which had n raised the preceeding year, chiefly thro' her encouragement, with a view to Heisen the influence of her powerful antagonist at foreign courts, and draw the British troops from the Low Countries. When the rebels had matched South into England towards the close of 1745, about zco transports were drawn together at Calais and Boulogne, on board of which 12, coo men were imbarked, in order to invade that country, and make a diversion in their favour. But, a British fleet appearing on that coast, the troops were all difimbarked, and twice afterwards were Habirked and disimbarked again.
