Receive into their charge for Education and Domestic Superintendence, young gentlemen under Ten Years of age whose Health, Comfort and Improvement are the objects of their constant and careful attention.

Elm Place is in a dry and airy situation, one mile from the centre of the city, commanding an extensive prospect of beautiful scenery.

Terms per annum. £28. Books and Stationary included.

The Vacation will be six weeks at Midsummer, and a fortnight at Christmas. The PUPILS may remain during the latter, should it be desired.

FAMILY OF THE LATE REV. T, W. HORSFIELD, F. S. A.

Contributions towards raising a fund for the assistance of the widow and children of this excellent man, have been received from Taunton, Leeds, Manchester, Bolton, Kendal, and some other places, and amount now to about two hundred pounds. This sum, it is hoped, will be still further augmented, so as to admit of an investment being made, that will yield some permanent addition to the small income receivable from the Widows' Fund, on which Mrs. Horsfield has now become a claimant in full.

A committee consisting of the Rev. W. Johns, Rev. R. Smiethurst, Rev. J. G. Robberds, Rev. J. J. Tayler, Rev. W. Gaskell, and Rev. J. R. Beard, and of J. A. Turner, Esq. and S. Alcock Esq., has been appointed to superintend the application and investment of the monies raised on behalf of the widow Horsfield and her family. J. J. TAYLER, Treasurer.

Having engaged a spacious and airy house, in Upper Parliament-street, Liverpool, is desirous of completing her number of pupils.

The best masters will attend on the usual terms, and a remarkable opportunity for the improvement of musical talent, can be secured at a trifling additional charge. Applications to be addressed to Miss K. A. Martineau, Upper Parliament-street, Liverpool, where all particulars may be obtained.

The School will re-open on the 31st of January, Liverpool, 4, Upper Parliament-street.

ANTED, before the end of the Christmas holidays, a MASTER for the BOYS' FREE DAY SCHOOL connected with the Paradise street Chapel, Liverpool. The Master will have occupation, rent free, of a small unfurnished house he will have no expense for light or fire; and will receive a salary of £80 a year. He will also enjoy the advantage of using the school-room, should he desire it, for evening instruction on his own account. He will be required to teach, to about 100 boys, with the assistance of Monitors-Reading, Writing, Mental and Written Arithmetic, Geography, with some notions of History, the elements of Geometry and Algebra, with some of their simpler applications to Mechanics and Navigation. A preference will be given to applicants, who have a knowledge of Vocal Music, and some experience in teaching it. Unexceptionable references must be given.
