BERON was the King

of the Fairies and Titania was the Queen.

They were tiny elves. To

them a cowslip seemed a tall

tree, and a minute of time seemed like hours. The fairies loved all beautiful and dainty things like the butterflies, birds and flowers, and waged war against all things that creep or fly, which seemed homely to them.
