THIS piece is founded on an agreeable fable pleasantly handled; among Shakespeare's irregular plays it holds an advantageous place, and is very alterable for the theatres, tho' not one of the characters is strongly marked except Launce; nor are the fituations, as they ftand, fo interesting by far as might be wished: It is very far from a bad piece, and much less diftant from merit; tolerable judgment. and genius would make it a living entertainment..
