Shakespeare the Complete Works

This edition of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, contains all the plays and poems; the plays are arranged in the chronological order of their composition - the traditional method dating from the first folio not gathered into comedies, histories and tragedies - together with a sketch of Shakespeare's life and synopses of each play and poem. The book is quarter bound in real cloth, with head and tail bands, a ribbon marker, gilt top edge and an embossed jacket, and is reproduced from the Shakespeare Head Edition. It is illustrated throughout by the engravings of Sir John Gilbert, the master of Victorian historical illustration.
