flame, until thy softened spirit will become susceptible of every divine impression, and thy tender conscience will feel the least sin heavy indeed; every just reproof will be then an excellent oil; yea, one reproof from the lips of the gracious will enter deeper into thy heart, as a wise child, than an hundred stripes into a fool, Prov. xvii. 10.
