43 to kill thee. Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, 44 flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran; And tarry with him a 45 few days, until thy brother's fury turn away; Until thy brother's

anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence why 46 should I be deprived also of you both in one day? And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of

Haran.] See chap. xi. 31. and com. shall his blood be shed. Ge. ix. 5, 6. And
thy handmaid (said the widow of Tekoah) had

handmaid, and they said, Deliver him that
smote his brother, that we may kill him,
for the life of his brother whom he slew;
and we will destroy the heir also: and so
they shall quench my coal which is left, and
shall not leave to my husband neither name
nor remainder upon the earth. 2 Sa. xiv.
6, 7. And when the barbarians (of Melita)

vengeance suffereth not to live. Ac. xxviii. 4.
46 I am weary of my life, &c.] And if thon

all this people upon me). Nu. xi. 15. But he
(Elijah) himself went a day's journey into the
wilderness, and came and sat down under a
juniper tree; and he requested for himself
that he might die, and said, It is enough:
now, O Lord, take away my life; for I
not better than my fathers. 1 Ki. xix. 4
