CHAP. 440.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Thomas Bliss.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Thomas Bliss, late of Company G, One hundred and forty-fourth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 441.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Margaret Hendry.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Margaret Hendry, widow of James Hendry, late of Company F, First Regiment Kentucky Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

CHAP. 442.-An Act Granting a pension to Mary King.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary King, dependent mother of Michael King, late of Company E, Fourth Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month. Bramble, late of Company B, Eightieth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. CHAP. 445.—An Act Granting a pension to Maggie Helmbold.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Maggie Helmbold, widow of John W. Helmbold, late of Company E, Two hundred and thirteenth Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and Company D, One hundred and ninetysecond Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month, and two dollars per month additional on account of her minor child until it shall reach the age of sixteen years.

States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Andrew Y. Transue, late of Company G, Third Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Heavy Artillery, and pay him a pension at the rate of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of William R. Armstrong, late of Company F, Tenth Regiment Michigan Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, April 11, 1902.

CHAP. 450.-An Act Granting a pension to Sarah M. Smith.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Sarah M. Smith, widow of Andrew J. Smith, late of Captain Smith's company, Hays' regiment, Texas Volunteer Infantry, war with Mexico, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.

CHAP. 451.-An Act Granting a pension to Alida Payne.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Alida Payne, the helpless and dependent daughter of John A. Payne, late of Company E, Thirty-ninth Regiment New Jersey Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Torgus Haraldson, late of Company E, Second Regiment Minnesota Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
