CHAP. 957.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Delia E. Slocum.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United [Private, No. 823.] States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Delia E. Slocum, widow of Aaron C. Slocum, late first lieutenant, Company E, One hundred and fifteenth Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving. Approved, May 31, 1902.

CHAP. 958.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Otis R. Freeman.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Otis R. Freeman, late surgeon Tenth Regiment New Jersey Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, May 31, 1902.

CHAP. 959.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Samuel P. Milburn. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Samuel P. Milburn, late of Company D, Thirteenth Regiment New Jersey Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 960.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to William Sheldon.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of William Sheldon, late of Company I, One hundredth Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, May 31, 1902.

CHAP. 961.—An Act Granting a pension to Mary Louise Lowry.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary Louise Lowry, the helpless and dependent daughter of Horatio B. Lowry, late major and quartermaster United States Marine Corps, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Edgar A. Hamilton, late captain Company C, First Regiment New York Volunteer Mounted Rifles, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

De Graw, late of Company B. One hundred and fifty-third Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of forty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Hannah T. Knowles, widow of William M. Knowles, late of the United States ship Independence, war with Mexico, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month, such pension to cease upon proof that the soldier is living.
