CHAP. 116.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to John R. Sandsbury. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United John R. Sandsbury. States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John R. Sandsbury, late of United States steamers Ohio and Montgomery, United States Navy, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, January 12, 1903.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Angus Cameron, late of Company G, Third Regiment Illinois Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, January 12, 1903.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Abbie C. Bremner, widow of James Bremner, late of Company G, Thirty-fifth Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Frederick Bulkley. States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Frederick Bulkley, late of Company A, Twentyseventh Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty-six dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Pension increased. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the

laws, the name of Melinda Heard, widow of John A. Heard, late of Captain Jones's company, Georgia Volunteers, Creek Indian war, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Sidney N. Lund, late of Company A, Third Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, January 12, 1903.

Bader, late of Company H, Twentieth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, January 12, 1903.

J States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of David Ham, late of Company E, Eighth Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, January 12, 1903.

CHAP. 124.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Lucy A. Turner.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United [Private, No. 102.] States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Lucy A. Turner, widow of William Turner, late of Company G, Fifth Regiment Provisional Enrolled Missouri Militia, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving: Provided, That in the event of the death of Nannie B. Turner, helpless and dependent child of said William death of child. Turner, the additional pension herein granted shall cease and determine.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Joanna Rommel, widow of Benson M. Rommel, late of Company C, Second Regiment New Jersey Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Ellen A. Sager, former widow of Charles C. Rogers, late of Company E, One hundred and thirteenth Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

Mess, late musician, Second Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John D. Sullivan, late of Company C, Second Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving, the same to be paid to him without deduction or rebate for former alleged overpayments or erroneous payments of pension.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Cherstin Mattson, widow of Hans Mattson, late colonel Third Regiment Minnesota Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month. Kimberly, widow of Lewis A. Kimberly, late rear-admiral, United States Navy, and pay her a pension at the rate of fifty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Navy be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to transfer Sur- retired geon John F. Bransford, of the retired list of the United States Navy, from the half-pay list to the seventy-five per centum pay list of retired officers, under section fifteen hundred and eighty-eight of the Revised Statutes of the United States, the original appointment and retirement of the said John F. Bransford under the provisions of the Act of Congress approved February fifth, nineteen hundred and one, having been. authorized because of disability incurred while in discharge of duty as passed assistant surgeon during the Spanish war. The said transfer shall take place as of the date of the passage of this Act. Approved, January 13, 1903.
