Power, widow of Benjamin F. Power, late first lieutenant Company C, One hundred and twenty-second Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving and two dollars per month additional on account of the minor child of said Benjamin F. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary Nichols, widow of Richard Nichols, late of Company F, Twenty-third Regiment Michigan Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month, and two dollars per month additional on account of a minor child of said soldier until such child shall have arrived at the age of sixteen years: Provided, however, That in the case of the death of the helpless child, Bennett R. Nichols, on whose account the pension of Mary Nichols is death of child. increased, the pension of said Mary Nichols shall continue only at the rate of eight dollars per month from and after the date of death of said helpless child.
