Z HEB. v. 11, 12: Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. ■ Ver. 46, Acтs, xvii. 3: Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead. PHIL. ii. 8, 9: He became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him.— 1 PET. i. 11: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. HEB. ix. 22, 23: And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
